Paulo Vinluan

Filipino artist Paulo Vinluan (b. 1980) graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, and studied at the Pratt Institute in New York. Known his colourful, comic-style imagery, he has developed a visual vocabulary that plays with geometric and architectonic forms, fashioning surrealist scenes that carry the ideas that preoccupy him.

Vinluan lives and works between Manila, Philippines and Brooklyn, New York. 2003 marked his first solo show in Manila, followed by exhibitions across the US, Europe and Asia.
