Aida Azin

Aida Azin (b. 1988, Australia) is an artist/community organiser/art facilitator based in Naarm/Melbourne. Born to Iranian/Filipina parents and raised in an Australian context, Azin’s life experiences are melded with depictions of liminality and an attempt to reconcile losses that all diasporic bodies contend with.

Azin has a Bachelors Degree in Visual Art from the Adelaide College of the Arts, 2015. In 2017 she completed her honours year in painting at the University of South Australia where she discussed the effects of institutional racism in the visual arts.

Azin has exhibited her paintings and installations at Format Collective, Adelaide (Australia), Blak Dot, Melbourne(Australia), Seventh Gallery, Melbourne (Australia), First Draft Gallery, Sydney (Australia), FELTSpace , Adelaide (Australia), Ace Open, Adelaide (Australia), and Bus Projects, Melbourne (Australia), amongst others.
